The Agri-Hort Technology curriculum is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and fundamental skills to work in a field related to agriculture and/or horticulture. This program is designed to meet the needs of students entering into the career field and those students looking to update their career skills.

  • Compare and contrast basic theories, concepts, and terminology used in agriculture/horticulture.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of sustainable agricultural/horticultural practices.
  • Demonstrate skill in the use of equipment, tools, environmental controls, and computers as they relate to the agricultural/horticultural field.
  • Diagnose plant disease and pest problems, and recommend management options.
  • Explain basic plant growth principles and how they relate to the propagation, production, use, and maintenance of plant materials.
  • Identify and practice safety, environmental protection, workplace ethics, and leadership skills in the workplace.
