Course Description
This course is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and understanding to assess and treat patients with respiratory disease.
Prerequisite(s)
RESP 1224, and RESP 1458 with grades of C or better - Must be completed prior to taking this course.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Analyze patient record.
  • Evaluate results of clinical assessments and test results.
  • Classify key symptoms which identify a specific pulmonary disease.
  • Recommend therapeutic procedures appropriate for the treatment of the disease.
  • Recommend diagnostic procedures and modifications in the treatment plan when appropriate.
