Course Description
The student will acquire knowledge fundamental to the development of basic skills and attitudes necessary to meet the nursing needs common to man. Students will identify and analyze nursing principles derived from scientific concepts of client care.
Prerequisite(s)
Admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program - Must be completed prior to taking this course.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Discuss legal responsibilities and principles of safe medication administration
  • Identify appropriate nursing interventions for safe medication administration.
  • Identify appropriate resources, necessary for safe medication administration.
  • Demonstrate the ability to apply calculation principles for safe medication administration
