Course Description
The student will compare and contrast the problems, political institutions, and political processes of countries throughout the world. He or she will examine in detail the similarities and differences of the political systems of Great Britain, France, Germany, and Russia.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Define key concepts in comparative politics
- Develop awareness of the nuances of various political systems
- Articulate the differences between various political systems
- Articulate the similarities between various political systems
- Critically think about the field’s best answers to problems in comparative political systems
