Course Description
In this course, students will study the following for a variety of individuals and groups: processes and procedures of assessing physical fitness; prescribing exercise programs; and identifying, educating and fostering healthy living styles.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the principles of exercise testing, factors that affect the results, and criteria to terminate tests.
- Conduct pre-participation screening and assess risk classification
- Interpret and rate the results of the exercise tests and relay information to the client.
- Explain the principles of exercise prescription, program development and the stages.
- Design a training program for the individual or group based on their training needs.
- Demonstrate understanding by implementing all safety considerations of exercise testing and training.
