Course Description
The student will apply his or her knowledge and skills by working a minimum of 200 hours in a cooperating business under the supervision of a training sponsor and the instructor. The student will gain understanding of the administrative office procedures by discussing and analyzing on-the-job experiences with fellow students and the instructor.
Prerequisite(s)
The successful completion of courses listed in the first four semesters of the Office Professional curriculum and approval of program coordinator. - Must be completed prior to taking this course.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • The intern will work a minimum of 200 hours at a training site approved by the college coordinator.
  • The intern will accept and perform appropriate assignments and responsibilities and exhibit a cooperative, positive attitude as evaluated by the training site supervisor and the instructor.
  • The intern will attend all weekly classroom sessions.
  • The intern will submit on a timely basis all activity reports signed by the intern and the training supervisor.
  • The intern will discuss and analyze on?the?job experiences with the instructor and fellow students during the weekly classroom sessions.
  • The intern will demonstrate appropriate human relations work traits as evaluated by supervisor and instructor.
  • The intern will prepare a report evaluating and analyzing the experience gained during the internship.
