Course Description
This course is an introduction to Autodesk Revit Architecture software. Autodesk Revit is a building design software with three-dimensional Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for design conceptualization, visualization, analyzing and two-dimensional documentation. Topics include: walls, doors, windows, roofs, ceilings, stairs, foundations, structural members, views, annotations, schedules, dimensions, site features, massing tools and detailing. Each student will be required to complete a set of working drawings.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Create a set of working drawings for a residential structure for Basic Building Components: Walls, Doors, Windows, Floors, Roofs, Ceilings, Rooms, Curtain, walls, Stairs, Railings, Ramps
- Create a set of working drawings for a residential structure for Site Features: Property Lines, Top surfaces, Site components
- Create a set of working drawings for a residential structure for Details: Callout views, Drafted details
- Create a set of working drawings for a residential structure for Annotations: Tags, Keynotes, Dimensions
- Create a set of working drawings for a residential structure for Schedules: Door & window schedules, Legends
