Course Description
Students will properly measure, cut and prepare various piping types for use in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Industry standard processes will be used to connect and pressure test process piping.

  1. PVC pipe
  2. Flare, swag, solder, braze
  3. Pipe threading
  4. Sheet metal plenums

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Measure tubing for appropriate radius bends and lengths
  • Bend soft copper piping calculating equivalent lengths for appropriate angles
  • Prepare and braze/solder copper piping
  • Cut, thread and assemble iron pipe
  • Measure, cut and bend sheet metal for appropriate equivalent lengths for appropriate angles
  • Pressure test various process piping configurations
