Course Description
The student will be introduced to various testing instruments, will learn accepted shop procedures, and will be introduced to manufacturer's specifications when making repairs and adjustments.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Observe and follow the safety and environmental regulations set by the instructor, school, city, county and state in an automotive lab setting.
- Identify the USA customary and metric measuring systems associated with the automotive industry through hands on training utilizing basic hand tools, fasteners, and thread repair kits.
- Identify and utilize the labs automotive repair manuals/available online information systems, lab vehicles, and the Learning Resource Center to look up and complete minor maintenance repair procedures.
- Utilize the labs automotive Flat Rate manuals and/or online information systems to calculate the actual repair time and the time set by the manufacture to complete a repair.
