Course Description
A survey and analysis of the criminal justice system, including a historical and philosophical overview of its development, with special emphasis on the system's primary components and its relationship among these components in the administration of criminal justice in America. IAI: CRJ 901 Criminal Justice.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Explain (in general terms) the American criminal justice system.
  • Discuss the types and the amount of crime in America.
  • Discuss the criminal justice system and the rule of law.
  • Discuss the development of police in the United States.
  • Explain the role of police in the law enforcement operations.
  • Discuss the impact of Constitutional Law on law enforcement activities.
