Course Description
The student will describe brake principles and operations, including ABS systems. The student will utilize these principles to diagnose, service, and repair brake systems to manufacturer specifications.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Perform hydraulic system diagnosis and repair.
- Perform drum brake diagnosis and repair.
- Perform disc brake diagnosis and repair.
- Perform power assist units diagnosis and repair.
- Perform miscellaneous diagnosis and repair: wheel bearings.
- Perform miscellaneous diagnosis and repair: parking brake.
- Perform miscellaneous diagnosis and repair: electrical diagnosis and repair of brake light system.
- Perform antilock system diagnosis and repair.
