Course Description
Students will properly measure, cut and prepare various piping types for use in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Industry standard processes will be used to connect and pressure test process piping.
Prerequisite(s)
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Measure tubing for appropriate radius bends and lengths
- Bend soft copper piping calculating equivalent lengths for appropriate angles
- Prepare and braze/solder copper piping
- Cut, thread and assemble iron pipe
- Measure, cut and bend sheet metal for appropriate equivalent lengths for appropriate angles
- Pressure test various process piping configurations
