It is possible for a student to take a small grouping of courses which, taken as a unit, may satisfy requirements for a particular position within the agri-hort field. The student may make written application to the Office of Admissions and Registration to receive written verification of completion of the certificate program.
- Perform a variety of hands-on techniques relative to the Agri-Hort Technology field such as plant identification, equipment maintenance, and/or precise measurement.
- Demonstrate professional competency by identifying plants, pests, diseases, and disorders prevalent in the horticulture industry.
- Compare and contrast a variety of career options in the Agri-Hort Technology industry.
- Collect a soil sample and analyze the structure, texture, pH and nutrient content.
- Explain basic theories, concepts, and terminology using in Agri-Hort Technology.
